Directions to Shorter Athletics:

Shorter College's Winthrop-King Centre -

From Atlanta:

1. Take I-75 North

2. Exit 290. Turn left and follow signs for Hwy 411 and Hwy 20 West.

3. At Rome exit (approximately 19 miles from the I-75 exit) follow Hwy 20 West (also known as Turner-McCall Blvd and Shorter Avenue.)

4. Continue straight on Hwy 20 West for approximately 5 miles. Shorter College is located approx. one mile past Floyd Medical Center, on the left.

5. From entrance to Shorter, continue straight until you see Eubanks Welcome Center. Take left up the hill and continue until you see the building below you (is either straight or to your left coming up the hill). There are tennis courts behind it and three levels of parking in front.

From Chattanooga:

1. 75 North, exit 290: Rome.

2. Turn right until highway dead ends.

3. Turn left, then immediate right on 41 North.

4. Continue approximately 3 miles, take right fork on 411 South: Rome.

5. 19 miles to Rome. Take right fork - Hwy 53 to Rome.

6. Continue straight on Hwy 20 West for 2 miles. Shorter College is located approx. one mile past Floyd Medical Center, on the left.

7. From entrance to Shorter, continue straight until you see Eubanks Welcome Center. Take left up the hill and continue until you see the building below you (is either straight or to your left coming up the hill). There are tennis courts behind it and three levels of parking in front.

Barron Stadium -

From South (Atlanta area):

1) Take I-75 North, exit 290: Rome.

2) Turn left until highway dead ends.

3) Turn left, then immediate right on 41 North.

4) Continue approximately 3 miles, take right fork on 411 South: Rome.

5) 19 miles to Rome. Take right fork - Hwy 53 to Rome.

6) Continue on Turner McCall Boulevard to intersection of Turner McCall and Broad Street. Turn left off Turner McCall onto Broad Street (turn on Broad Street at Georgia Power Building.)

7) On Broad Street, take right at third light onto Fifth Avenue.

8) At third light turn left onto West Third Street. Barron Stadium is located on the right, 300 West Third Street, next to the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center and behind Memorial Gym.

From North (Dalton/Chattanooga area):

1) Take 1-75 South to Exit # 312 (Rome/Fairmount).

2) Take right at top of ramp and remain on Highway 53 toward Rome (approximately 20-25 miles).

3) Once in Rome City limits, turn right at traffic light (Ga. Loop 1 North - Battey Machinery will be to your left).

4) Go to third traffic light to Hwy. 27 (Martha Berry Hwy). At that traffic light, take a left.

5) Continue on Hwy. 27 into Rome. Continue around and past Floyd Medical Center (a levee will be to your right). At the first traffic light, take a left onto West Third St.

6) Barron Stadium will be on your left as you approach the traffic light at West Third Street. Turn left onto West Third Street, and left into Barron Stadium.

Darlington School (Lacrosse Field) -

From South:

1) Take I-75 North, exit 290: Rome.

2) Turn left until highway dead ends.

3) Turn left, then immediate right on 41 North.

4) Continue approximately 3 miles, take right fork on 411 South: Rome.

5) After about 19 miles, merge onto GA-53 S/Martha Berry Hwy/US-27 S/US-411 S via the ramp to Cedartown/Gadsden.

6) Take the exit toward Cedar Ave SW, and turn left onto Cedar Ave SW.

7) Turn right at Darlington Dr SW, and continue for half a mile.

8) Turn right at Cave Spring St SW, and continue for 4/10 a mile, the lacrosse field will be on your right.

From North:

1) Take I-75 South exit 312 (Calhoun) and follow GA 53.

2) After 22.5 miles, make a slight right onto Broad Street (GA 53).

3) After approximately 1.5 miles, make a left at E Main St SW.

3) After approximately half a mile, turn right at Cave Spring St SW. Continue for half a mile and the lacrosse field will be on your right.

Stonebridge Golf Club -

From the South (Marietta, Atlanta):

1) Take I-75 North to exit 306 West, Highway 140.

2) Make a left off the exit and follow for approximately 16 miles until the road dead ends.

3) Make a left onto highway 27 South.

4) Travel 3.5 miles and make a right onto Stonebridge Drive.

From the North (Chattanooga):

1) I-75 South to exit 306 west, Highway 140.

2) Make a right off the exit and follow for approximately 16 miles until the road dead ends at the intersection of highway 27.

3) Make a left onto highway 27 South.

4) Travel 3.5 miles and make a right onto Stonebridge Drive.

From the West (Northern Alabama):

1) Travel on Highway 411 North towards Rome, follow to Route 9 North toward Rome.

2) Route 9 becomes Georgia highway 20.

3) Follow to highway 27 North. Continue 5 miles and turn left onto Stonebridge Drive.

Alto Park Softball Complex -

From Chattanooga:

1) Take I-75 South to exit 312 (Rome/Fairmount.)

2) Take right at top of exit ramp; remain on Hwy. 53 to Rome.

3) Once in Rome City Limits, take a right at traffic light (Calvary Baptist Church) onto Veterans Memorial Highway.

4) At the third traffic light, take a left onto Highway 27 South.

5) At the sixth traffic light (Bojangles on left) take a right onto Georgia Hwy. 20.

6) Stay on Hwy. 20; at the seventh traffic light (Marty Callahan State Farm on right) take a left onto Burnett Ferry Road.

7) Alto Park is on the right 3-4 miles after you turn off of Hwy. 20.

From Atlanta:

1) Take I-75 North, exit 290: Rome/Canton.

2) Turn left at bottom of ramp and continue until highway dead ends at traffic light.

3) Turn left, then immediate right onto Hwy. 41 North.

4) Continue on Hwy. 41 approximately 3 miles, take right fork on 411 South: Rome. 19 miles to Rome.

5) After third traffic light (Rome Ford on right) take the second exit to the right -- Rome/Georgia Hwy. 20.

6) Continue on Hwy. 20 for several miles. At the fifteenth traffic light, take a left onto Burnett Ferry Road. Alto Park is on the right, 3-4 miles after you turn off of Hwy. 20.
