The Hawks and Lady Hawks' fall sports season is now in full swing

Sept. 8, 2008

Rome, Ga. - Shorter College Athletics has partnered with Coosa High School Engineering and Technology Department to produce a thirty minute TV program, which will broadcast each week on Comcast Sports South (CSS, channel 35 on local cable) at 1 PM on Thursdays. The program will highlight Shorter College Athletics, concentrating on football and basketball through March of 2009. It will be produced by the Work-Based Learning Students at Coosa with help from professional broadcasters from around the area and state.

"The program is a great way to showcase our athletic program," said athletic director Bill Peterson. "This will increase publicity for our student athletes and coaches on both a local and regional level."

The show will also broadcast on Thursday nights at 9 pm on Comcast Spotlight Channel 44 in Rome and Calhoun, as well as SKY TV 21 in Summerville. It will air later in the week on Comcast Channel 4 on Fridays at 3:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 PM.

The Hawks and Lady Hawks' fall sports season is now in full swing, with football, men's and women's soccer, cross country, volleyball and men's and women's golf. For complete information, including schedules, news and rosters, please visit, www.goshorterhawks.com.
