Athens, Tenn. - In a mid-week game against the receiving-votes Tennessee Wesleyan College Bulldogs, the Shorter College Hawks baseball team took a 12-1 loss in seven innings to fall to 9-13 overall, while remaining 1-5 in the SSAC after the non-conference matchup.

Jake Broome had two of Shorter's four hits in the game (both singles), while Tyler McIntosh had one single and Joey Taylor added a double. The Hawks' only run came in the third inning, on a Scott Morris RBI that scored Adam Pilate.
