 April 2008 The Shorter College Baseball staff would like to invite you to our showcase style tryout that will be held on Sunday, April 13. The tryout is open to any player who has an interest in playing baseball at Shorter College in the 2008/09 academic year. The workout will follow the same patterns of a showcase, however, Shorter College will be the only school that is represented and there will be no cost to attend. All of your skills will be evaluated, and every player that attends will be given an opportunity to earn a baseball scholarship, pending admission. Applications can be completed online by going to www.shorter.edu and following the admissions link. Please make every effort to have the application complete before attending the tryout. A tentative schedule of the Shorter College tryout: 12:30-1:00PM Check in 1:00-1:30 Stretching and throw 1:30-2:00 60 yard dash 2:00-2:30 Outfielders/Infielders 2:30-2:45 Catchers Pitchers begin to warm-up 2:45-4:00 Batting Practice Pitchers throw in bullpen In the event of inclement weather, please call (706)233-7510.
