Hawks suffer road loss to Southern Wesleyan



The Hawks continue play Thursday against Reinhardt College

Central, S.C. - The Shorter College Hawks took a tough road conference loss on Saturday, falling to Southern Wesleyan, 77-70.

For the Hawks (18-9, 9-7), Tomas Pranciliauskas scored 25 points, while Fred Christopher added 14 and Kedric Wilson scored 13 points with 10 boards.

Darryl Edwards scored 18 points to lead the Warriors (9-18, 5-11) and Jermaine Harris added 16.

Field goals were a factor in the loss for Shorter. The Hawks shot only 33 percent from the field while the Warriors shot 48 percent. Shorter did have the advantage in free throws shooting 75 percent to Southern Wesleyan's 62 percent.
