Shorter is 5-2 this season after Saturday's big win

Rome, Ga. - The Shorter College Hawks football team will hold their first ever "Blue Out" on Oct. 23, 2008, for the evening game against Union College, with kickoff at 7 p.m. at Barron Stadium. Blue Out t-shirts will be handed out free to the first 800 students attending the game against the nationally-ranked Bulldogs. All others are encouraged to wear blue.

Adding to the fun, Shorter is hosting Youth Football Night featuring teams and cheerleaders from the Rome-Floyd Recreation Youth Football League. The teams will parade around the infield track prior to the start of the game and will be recognized along with their coaches.

Shorter is 5-2 this season after a win over NCAA Div. II North Greenville on Saturday, and is tied for third at 1-1 in the MSC West Division.
