Plymouth, Ind. - After day two of competition at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, the Shorter College Hawks are in 25th place after shooting a second-day total of 20 over par (308). Their two-day total is now 622. Arvid Bengtson led the way for Shorter shooting a 74, two over par. His four birdies on the day was good enough to place tied for 49th overall. Alex Lantz followed Bengtson with a four over par (76), and Elrick Van Eck (78), Joaquin Correnti (80), and Lohan Kotze (82) rounded things out for the Hawks. British Columbia is in first place with a two-day total of 575, followed by Johnson & Wales (Fla.) in second (579), and Oklahoma City in third (584). The field of 144 golfers will be cut to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals after the completion of 54 holes on Thursday. |
