Rome, Ga. - After a tough match, the Shorter College Hawks soccer team came away with a tie with NCAA USC-Aiken 1-1 at Grizzard Park in Rome on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks scored the first goal in the 25th minute, as a pass from Brian Arnold allowed Robert Whitnell to swing to ball to the left side of the net.
