Johnson City, Tenn. - In the final day of the men's NAIA Indoor Track National Championships, Shorter College's Martin Hernandez ran the 5000 meter race with a time of 15:16.86 to finish ninth overall.

Hernandez qualified for the finals yesterday placing second in the second heat, running a 15:21.46.

The Hawks will now look forward to the outdoor season with their first meet on March 22 at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
