Shorter will host the Valentine Cheer Clinic on Feb. 13

Rome, Ga. - The Shorter College Cheer Hawks are hosting the Hawks Valentine Cheer Clinic for male and female athletes on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The clinic is open to college-age athletes as well as high school juniors and seniors interested in competitive cheerleading at the collegiate level.

There are no skill requirements for the clinic.

The Hawks will host the clinic on the campus of Shorter College at the Winthrop-King Centre from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Participants will have an opportunity to stunt, tumble, jump and work out with the national champion Cheer Hawks and coaches in a fun, enjoyable environment.

The clinic will be run by Shorter head coach, Rachel Magness, and assistant coach, Matt Larson.

Coach Magness will also be available for one-on-one interviews and will have 2010 tryout and requirement information available for the Shorter Hawks' co-ed and all-girl competitive teams.

The cost of the clinic is $25 per participant. Each athlete will receive a free Hawks' t-shirt. Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing, including t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes.

Free prizes will be given away throughout the practice. Please remove all jewelry before you arrive to the clinic.
