The Shorter Cheerleading Spring Clinic will be held on March 5 at Hot Shots Cheerleading Center

Feb. 23, 2010

Rome, Ga. - Although the Shorter College Cheer Hawks were forced to cancel their Hawks Valentine Cheer Clinic, the squad will host a Spring Clinic on Friday, March 5 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Hot Shots Cheerleading Center located at 181 Iron St. in Rome.

The clinic is open to college-age athletes as well as high school junior and seniors interested in competitive cheerleading at the collegiate level.

Pre-registration is not required and there are no skill requirements for the clinic.

Participants will have an opportunity to stunt, tumble, jump and work out with the national champion Cheer Hawks and coaches in a fun, enjoyable environment.

The clinic is run by Shorter head coach, Rachel Magness, and assistant coach, Matt Larson. Coach Magness will also be available for one-on-one interviews and will have 2010 tryout and requirement information available for the Shorter Hawks' co-ed and all-girl competitive teams.

The cost of the clinic is $25 per participant. Each athlete will receive a free Hawks t-shirt and participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing, including t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes.

Free prizes will be given away throughout practice and participants are asked to remove all jewelry before they arrive to the clinic.

For more information, please contact Coach Magness at rmagness@shorter.edu.
