Coach Ahmad Hayat is entering his fourth season as golf coach. He is a native of Pakistan and holds a bachelors degree from Shorter where he played his collegiate golf from 1990 to 1994.

Ahmad led the Shorter College men's golf team in 2007 to their first NAIA appearance in over 20 years, where they finished in the final poll at #20 in the country.

Following his graduation he went on to play international golf for his country. His international career includes victories in India and other Asian countries. Coach Hayat joined Shorter after completing his master's degree at Johnson and Wales University in 2002.
