Rome, Ga. - On the second and final day of the Chick-fil-A Golf Invitational at Coosa Country Club's Golf Course, the Shorter College Lady Hawks shot a two-day total of 663 to finish in fifth place, three strokes ahead of the University of Mobile. Freshman Petra Muller led the Lady Hawks with a two-day 160 (77-83) and finished tied for 14th overall. She was followed by Esther Gandarias with a 161 (T16th), Ahmereen Humayun with a 168 (28th), and Jessica Porch with a 174 (T34th). Lindsey Wilson took home first place with a 622, and also had low-medalist honors from Krista Burton who shot a two-day 147 (73-74). Cross-town rival and host Berry College finished in third with a two-day 650. Shorter will compete next in the Flagler Fall Slam on Oct. 26-28 in St. Augustine, Fla. |
