Mongomery Ala. - (from AUM's Sports Information department) - Amber Elam scored four goals and Tschana Wade had two goals and three assists to lead the Auburn University Montgomery Lady Senators to an 8-0 win over Shorter College in conference women's soccer action.
The Lady Senators scored three times in the first half with Elam scoring twice, both off assists from Wade. Anna Johnsdottir scored the first of her two goals to end the half, again the assist coming from Wade.
Coming out in the second half, neither team could find the net until Elam scored her third goal in the 60th minute. Tereza Veverkova had the assist. After Wade's first goal of the match, Elam found the net for her fourth goal. Wade and Johnsdottir finished out the scoring in the 74th and 77th minute to make the final score 8-0.
It was the second consecutive match that Elam, the reigning SSAC offensive player of the week, has scored four goals. It is also the second consecutive match Wade has scored two goals and had three assists. In fact, Wade has scored two goals in five of the last six matches.
