Rome, Ga. - After their last three matches were rained out, Shorter's Lady Hawks returned to the courts Monday with disappointing results, losing to Southern States Athletic Conference rival Brenau 5-4 at the Walter Attaway Tennis Complex. Shorter's (6-4, 2-3 SSAC) Lydie Ratsaraefadahy and Angelika Bondarenko teamed up for an 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles. Shorter took losses in the other two doubles matches. Ratsaraefadahy and Bondarenko also won in No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles, respectively. Caroline Robert won in No. 3 singles. The Lady Hawks host Xavier (La.) in non-conference action today. |
