Shorter's Cousin, Dupree qualify for Indoor Track finals Johnson City, Tenn. - In the second day of the Indoor Track National Championships, Shorter College's Ashley Cousin and K'Ianca Dupree have qualified for the finals to be held tomorrow at East Tennessee State University's Minidome. Cousin and Dupree both qualified in the semis of the women's 60 meter dash with times of 7.55 and 7.67 respectively. This places them both in the top six, good enough for the title of All-American, regardless of final placing. Dupree additionally qualified in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 24.63. She will compete tomorrow with the top eight contenders. The 4x400 relay team consisting of Maria Addison, Jessica Coons, Courtney Pike and Whitney Ringer competed on Thursday, and placed 22nd with a time of 4:14.76. All final races will be held tomorrow and live stats can be seen at the NAIA Web site. |
