Jacksonville, Ala. - K'Ianca Dupree had a standout performance on Saturday afternoon at the Gem of the Hills Invitational, taking first place in the 400 meter run, helping her team to an eighth place finish in the Jacksonville State University-hosted event. Dupree scored 10 points for the Lady Hawks with her time of 56.99, qualifying for the NAIA Nationals in May. Ashley Cousin added to the list of Shorter winners by taking first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.13. The Lady Hawks finished eighth overall in the invitational with 35 points. Host Jacksonville State took first with 170.50 points. For complete women's results, click here. The Lady Hawks will travel, along with the men's team, to the University of Tennessee next weekend for the Sea Ray Relays. |
