K'Ianca Dupree at the Indoor Nationals

Edwardsville, Ill. - In the 200 meter dash of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Women's Track National Championship, K'Ianca Dupree and took second place, helping to land the Lady Hawks a 15th place finish in only their second year of existence.

Dupree ran the 200 meter dash in 24.207 seconds for second place, after finishing the semifinals in first place with a 24.16 seconds.

"K'Ianca is one of the strongest female contenders I've coached," said head coach Scott Byrd. "She has helped lead this team all year and she will only continue to get stronger in her career."
