Noel Carper is in his fourth season as Shorter assistant volleyball coach. Alongside head coach Jon Moseley, Carper has helped the Lady Hawks to a 63-40 overall record and the program's first-ever Southern States Athletic Conference championship in 2007. Prior to his tenure at Shorter, Carper coached the club volleyball team at Berry College before they developed an intercollegiate program. Carper played competitive indoor and beach volleyball for 12 years, winning numerous tournament titles. He is a black belt in American karate and has taught karate and self-defense classes in addition to a variety of physical education courses for 10 years, the last five at Shorter. For 14 years, Carper has served as a certified lead instructor/facilitator of ropes and other challenge courses for leadership development and team building with businesses, school groups and other organizations. He earned his B.A. from Berry in Pre-Law and his Master's in International Relations from the University of Georgia. |
