Jon Moseley begins his second year as head coach for the women's volleyball team. In his first season, he compiled the best record in the program's history (22-8), advanced to the conference and region tournaments, and Moseley was named conference Coach of the Year.
Before coming to Shorter, Moseley was the head volleyball coach at Guntersville High School in Guntersville, Ala., where he coached back-to-back 4-A Alabama State Championship teams in '04 and '05. Prior to his tenure in Guntersville, he served as head coach at Cherokee County in Centre, Ala., where his teams advanced to the Elite Eight six times, as well as two final four appearances in '98 and '03. He also led them to the state championships in '99, '01 and '02. Moseley was named the Gadsden Times Coach of the Year in '02 and '05, and the Marshall County Coach of the Year in '04 and '05. His career record is 479-158.
Moseley graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in '93 with a B.S. in mathematics and a minor in Latin American Studies. During college, he was involved with the Vanderbilt Volleyball Club team, worked as a student athletic trainer, and was involved with BCM and FCA. He earned his Master of Education degree in Secondary Education from Vanderbilt in '98.
